Release Testers: Ah... our precious!

Members of the Release Testers Usergroup try out new releases and write reviews on different aspects of the release such as originality, quality, and performance vs. similar products. Beside RELEASE TESTS they publish ADVANCED RELEASE TESTs, which are more in-depth analyses of the concerning release. Test reviews are made by goodwill and interest of the testers, or on demand after being requested in the RELEASE TEST PROVIDING service on this site.

Release Testers also gain access to a special private Release Testers Area as well as a premium rapidshare account to use for downloading. In the private area they can chat with eachother, evaluate their published reviews and expand their knowledge about analyzing techniques.

Every correctly formatted release test is rewarded with 10 WRZ$, ADVANCED release tests with 15 WRZ$. (One can get rich just by testing and writing reviews!)

Becoming a release tester is the most useful way to be of help for this community. Please follow the links at the bottom to see an example of a release test review and an advanced release test review...

This group is managed by a Release Testers' Director (Guy1731), and is populated by about 15 testers.

Description: VIPs are members who have either donated to support PPCWarez or have done an important service for PPCWarez and as a result have been promoted. VIPs have access to the VIP Area which contains VIP Releases, VIP Requests and VIP Talk. They also gain access to several rapidshare.com premium accounts for their use.

Membership Requirements: Donation of more than $8 to support PPCWarez and help pay for the server costs.

Introduction to PPC warez by Lifehacker, Head Administrator.

"Welcome to PPCWarez! To start off, I would like to introduce you to the site and give a quick overview of how it works. As our name suggests, PPCWarez is a site dedicated to warez for windows mobile based devices. Though the main focus of the site is Pocket PCs, we also have a smartphone section.

Releases
The release sections of PPCWarez contain topics/posts with software, games, movies and ebooks for downloading. All files in these releases are hosted on different filehosts, the most popular of these being rapidshare.com, followed by megaupload.com (access to PPCWarez's rapidshare.com premium accounts is offered to members who donated more than 5$ to support the site). All releases in the same section follow the same format for the sake of organization and ease of use. Correctly posted releases are also rewarded with WRZ$, the specifics of which will be explained later on. For more info on this format, please read the "How to post a release" sticky in the section you are interested in. In addition to the general release sections listed earlier, PPCWarez also has a number of software, game and movie categories to divide the different release types in those sections.

Requests
If a user needs an application, game, ebook or movie that is not available at PPCWarez, he/she can place a request for it. The request sections supplement the release sections and can be found here: Software Requests, Game Requests, Movie Requests, eBook Requests. Be sure to search for what you need before posting a request. When posting a request a user must also enter the amount of WRZ$ that he/she will be willing to pay to the first person to fulfill the request. The specifics of the WRZ$ system will be explained later on.

Discussion Sections
We also General Pocket PC Discussion sections so that members can talk, give suggestions, and ask questions concerning pocket pc related topics.

WRZ$ System
PPCWarez has a currency system for its members. Our cash system, which can be seen under the name of a user who posted and in the profile, functions as an active currency which users can earn and spend. For more info on the WRZ$ system, please take a look Here.

Usergroups
PPCWarez has a large number of different usergroups which include the Major Warez Releasers (for members who make a lot of releases), the Crackers/Retail Suppliers, the Releaser Testers (who test and write reviews on different releases) and VIPs (members who have either donated to support PPCWarez or have done an important service for the site). Release tester recruiting.

A once-in-a-lifetime chance to get the benefits of this generous site by earning WRZ$ and access to a premium RS account.

Either you are one of those users who like to comment on software like "well that's a nice program, just what I was waiting for" or else "lucky guy I am that I didn't give money on such a crappy game"... why shouldn't you make your comments public and let other users share your experience. This is what makes PPCwarez so special: we have a group of users who share information with other members of the forum by testing releases, posting comments and helping where problems arise. It's not the A-team or the X-men, but we simply call ourselves the release testers group.

The quality and motivation of the group members is very high, but this community is growing so fast that we simply need more people to get the job done and fill up the existing gap we have between quality and quantity. If you like this site and want to participate in testing posted releases to inform other users about installation and execution of programs and give a personal rate and comment about releases, then this is your chance. The only requirements to become a valuable candidate-tester are:

- you made already 20 posts or more on this site
- your English is excellent

If they match your profile, we might just have a job for you...

Interested? All right, this is what you do: I’m sure you have – like me - one or more programs or games on your device which you are used to work or play with, your personal “evergreens”, programs you will always install on your device, get updates for, and never will remove, even if you get out of memory... If you think you get enough feeling about one or more of these programs and think you are able to comment on the look, performance and eventually joy they bring you, you are ready to make a TRIAL RELEASE TEST REVIEW - (your first release test!).

PPC warez Site Rules

1. Before posting a release, check if it has already been released. If it has, do not post a double release (double releases are deleted and not rewarded).
2. Be sure to follow the "How to post a release" sticky's guidelines when posting a release. Each release section contains a "How to post a release" sticky. Be sure that you are familiar with the rules of posting releases. As an alternative, you can use this
3. Before you post a request please check if what you are looking for has already been released.
4. Don't Spam. (Post nonsense) We want your posts to have substance (as if you are taking part in a verbal conversation), something that other members can reply to.
5. Flaming is not allowed. Racism, as well as flaming and insulting members will not be tolerated.
6. Post in the correct forum (section).
7. Don't post everything ALL IN CAPS. This is considered shouting and is unacceptable.
8. No porn/profanity/swearing in your Signatures or Avatars.
9. No Posting Self-Gain links (e.g. links you gain something from i.e. money or referrals)
10. Make sure that you test all your links before you post them.
11. No posting or requesting terrorist applications or methods. Do not provide or request terrorist related items. Such as bomb making or other explosives related material, creation of weapons, ideas leading to or initiating war or other destructive items. *Posting of these sorts of items are punishable by immediate lifetime ban.
