This is ain't version 3.0, it's 2.6, and that Plumbin Frenzy 3.0 release sounds a bit fishy also, it says in the nfo file
"it's the real version 3.0 despite the number 1.0 on the startup screen."

before you check my post, try and look better over the internet

the only one difference between versions 3.0 and 2.6 is the original installer. game files are same (including the version number on "about screen").
so enjoy the "new" version of pdamill snails :)

.......

so the only new thing is the .exe file

Oh, OK, my bad.

I thought that that screenshot was from the latest version (while it must be an old one) and when I couldn't find that "2 Player" option from the menu I thought this release wasnt the latest.

IMHO it's stupid not to change the version number, one might think it wouldn't be that big issue to do.

But keep up the good work :)

PDAmill Snails v3.0

Tested/Working on: PPC 2003, 2003SE, WM5
Not tested on: PPC 2002, WM6
Rating: Originality: 7/10 - Quality: 10/10 - Performance vs similar products: 8/10 -- Average: 8/10
Comment: We all are familiar with shoot 'em up games since DOS age, Worms and Liero was well known games in this genre.
Snails from one of the PocketPC game designing leaders, PDAMill, has some egregious concepts such as high quality graphics, animations and sound effects as well as good variety of game types and weapons. There are three different campaigns as well as single and multiplayer deathmatch games. You can either use one device for two player game or play via local net or internet.
The screen will automatically changes to landscape mode as the game starts. An option is provided for left handed users, so the game runs perfectly even on old devices which doesn't support screen rotation.
Though compare to other similar games Snails has the best graphics and animations, it's AI for computer player fails to some of its competitors but still is not foolish and in higher difficulty settings the game is amazing enough to present you a funny spare time.
Snails requires about 4.5MB of storage memory and runs smoothly from the storage card.
Also look at: on this site:

Greets Infernal

Does this version has 240x240 support as I'm aware that PDAmill has updated most of its version to this group of ppc users.

PDAMill Snails v3.0

Tested/Working on: PPC 2003+SE, WM5, WM6
Not tested on: PPC 2002
Rating: Originality: 7/10 - Quality: 10/10 - Performance vs similar products: 8/10 -- Average: 8/10
Review: Snails is a good port of shoot 'em up games for PocketPC which is somehow similar to PC Worms game. Though there are some other similar games, it's hard to determine the best one. One may have better graphics and sound effects but the others derive a benefit from better artificial intelligence.
● Interface: The user interface is designed perfectly. All game types and options are easily accessible. Game settings are well organized and easy to setup. Choosing missions, starting a deathmatch game, opening the built-in help is as simple as clicking a graphical button.
● Graphics & Sound Effects: The first thing a user will notice after running the game is the vivid high-quality graphics and smooth animations. If graphics, sound effects and animations come to decision making, this game gets 10/10. None of its competitors have such eye-candy effects. Silky animations in the main menu and during the game and nice explosions as well as high-quality sound effects and music tracks are the main advantages of Snails.
● Connectivity: In deathmatch menu, single-player, hotseat and network multiplayer modes are available. After choosing a map and setting the game options in addition to team color and weapons, the connection dialog will apear which lets you connect via local net or internet. However it seems that it doesn't work all of the time!
● Artificial Intelligence: One of the most important disadvantages of this game is its weak AI. Unfortunately the AI player is unable to decide well due to the strategical positions and environmental conditions. For example, if the AI snail is near the enemy, it may kill itself to kill or harm the enemy. However in higher difficulty settings, the AI works slightly better and such ridiculous happenstances don't occur too much.
● Diversity: The game diversity according to the number of available weapons, maps and campaign missions is very good. There are 15 maps and 27 missions and over 20 weapons. Nevertheless some of its competitors have better range of weapon types.
Conclusion: The most important aspects of a shoot 'em up game are AI quality, diversity and somewhat multiplayer capabilities. As discussed before, Snails has high-quality graphics but in AI comparison, it may fail to some of its competitors. Bottom line, it is an interesting game and is still one of the best games in this genre.
Final Rating: 8/10

Oh no, Infernal... You have that bad habit to make your test reviews so attractive, that I can not let these programs or games pas by without trying them. But where will I find all the time to do that? Not only I have to make arrangements in my social life - my friends don't see me ant more - but I will get serious trouble with the boss about my work on the site...

Any way, very good review - again - and very appreciated. 8)

Btw; I just discovered a new word: happenstances. (was never used on PPC warez before...). Thank you for that!
