To get the PPeditor working with this release:

Change the page pool editor fwtypes.cfg to have:

Dell X51v A17/R01 -> 0x005685EE
Dell X51v WM6 A01 -> 0x0056F5EE
Dell X50v WM6 A02 RTM -> 0x0038F3B3
Dell X51v WM6 A03 Preview -> 0x0056F3B6
Dell X51v WM6 A03 RTM -> 0x005813B6

This covers most of the football WM5/6 releases.

Woops, I forgot to copy the checksum file. Should I turn it off or let it finish or something? Seems like it's not doing anything :(
Edit: Forget that, a reset and it's installing now :)

If you want more free RAM (but a slower responding PDA), reduce the pagepool.
If you have 128Mb RAM (i.e. you got the PPCTechs upgrade), I suggest 16Mb pagepool - your PDA will respond quicker, but you will have a bit less RAM free.

The default is fine for most people with the standard 64Mb RAM.

Everything works great. I had some trouble with WAP which resolved itself (I think!). I changed so many settings, so many times that I have no idea if I had something to do with it. Perfect release, thanx guys!
Edit: Problem was not solved after all. After performing a soft reset I cannot connect to wifi. I had no problem with A03 preview. I'm using odyssey and it searches for an access point but cannot find one and even when it does it cannot get keys. Any suggestions?

How do I use the PPEditor -> changed fwtypes.cfg to Dell X51v WM6 A03 RTM -> 0x005813B6 with notepad and saved.
Tried to run PPEditor.0.2.exe -> it shows Dell X51v WM6 A03 RTM but don't know what to do next -> the ?????marks want me to pick a ??????(*.nb0) and here is were I am lost.
Checked the ppsize.cfg with notepad and want to change page pool to 8mb - but I don't know how.
Could you PM me or post more details on how to change the page pool size.
TIA, Paul-Z

I was hoping that problem was fixed. Possibly someone will come up with solution that dosn't require re-flashing.

?? Page Pool question ??
I keep seeing this addressed. My review version's running just fine. Any reason the "average" user needs to be adjusting this page pool ??

Just use SKTools "Optimize for Performance" :) It adjusts pagepool and much more ;)
