N560 WM6 ROM Upgrade
Requirements: Fujitsu Siemens N560
Overview: WM6 for Fujitsu Siemens N560. 5.2.1437 - Build 17944.2.2.0
Language: English.
Creator: 777_team
Release Date: July 30, 2007

Changes:
* corrected and work AS, BT and GPRS
* WPA-Enterprise works.
* is opened checking certificates. (!?)
* RAPI is switch oned.
* Windows live and Messenger are removed.
* in the piercing are returned Panning, KeyLock (it is included into Settings- Buttons, supplementary sheet FSC KeyLock), GPS Locator, SystemInfo.
* there is no necessity to place FSC Reg.cab
* + OneNote.
* + Remote Desktop
* Alarm fix.
* global changes in the memory

Installation Instructions:
1.Connect your PDA to craddle with power cable connected to it. Fully charge the battery of PDA
2.Disable all the passwords prior to upgrade.
3.Run PocketLOOX5xxFlashTool.exe, do not disconnect the cable from the USB

OMG, what a great release!

Even Fujitsu Siemens wont release WM6 for Loox 560! Where does this come from?

I would install these instantly but i need a possibility to backup my original rom. Does anybody got an idea how to do so, or got a ger. WM5 Version 5.1.195 build 14928.2.2.0 release?

Excellent release. Before upgrading, can you please share what's new on n560? Is BT manager any better, does it help with faster GPS fix,...

the BT stack is still microsoft's but it's newer one
GPS is catching the sattelites in a minute after cold start

if you have loox n560, you can use WM6 on it (i'm doing it)

N560 haven't GSM module.... When I connect PDA to my mobile phone via BT I can't use internet?

i've upgraded to freepk's image of WM5 AKU 3.5.2, and then to the test image of the WM6 (previous one).

there's smth everyone should know:
there's no possible way to harm the PDA
If you do not like the image, you can swap it back to the original one

Hi,

Can't harm your device? Well, that's absolutely not true.
Remember, FSC never meant its users to flash own roms on devices, we have no proper tools available, i.e.: a half-flashed rom can break your device for good. And scary enough that doing such "may" lead to loosing warranty, so if shit happens (and we all know that shit is there, waiting just to happen), no way to get device back and cry for replacement.

You also have to make sure that your connection between your device and desktop is gapless, fully operational, etc.
DO NOT EVER TRY TO FLASH ROM WITH BLUETOOTH ACTIVESYNC CONNECTION, use freakin' USB :-)

But well... considering that I haven't seen an update for my device in the past year, and FSC ain't gives no shit about AKU updates, I'll give it a try.

Dudez, I'm willing to loose 1 year warranty coz of shitty support! :-)
