Overview: A new year, a new version of TomTom’s navigational software. This has been the case in the past, and this year is no exception. Because TomTom has just premièred the new TomTom GO x30 series at this year’s CeBIT in Hanover (see our new post about this here), and this release included the announcement of NavCore 8. YourNAV wouldn’t be yourNAV if we weren’t able to inform you of all the new features this new software version will bring.

For some with a x10 works also the 2. 3. Try it.

This should be posted in the gps section and not in the software section.

I hope someone may be able to adapt these files to make them compatible with a pocketpc pda windows mobile 6...I really like the new way of finding a fast navigation based on many different parameters instead of only allowed speed.

I expect not to much differences exists between wince 5 and pocket pc / windows mobile?

Tomtom's PNA devices are Linux, not wince - so this isn't an option.

Is it me or is it very confusing what files i do and don't need. I have a Tomtom 520, if its compatible would possibly also want to put it on a TomTom Onev2. No idea which files either would need.

And where are the maps ? You cannot use this app without the latest V8 maps.

All the files to update all TOMTOM satnav devices are in the first post. It does not work on smart phones or PDA/PPC. It works fine with V7 mpas but is missing Lane assist and a few other map related extras as the data is not contained in current maps.

And what if I put Linux on my PDA? Will this works or not?

Wow, didnt even see this one come out days ago...?? I knew it was coming soon, but somehow missed this post...?? Unlike me....

Anyway, what are TomTom playing at....? They totally DITCHED us with TomTom7, no one even used TT7 who had PDA/PPC because they were not supporting us, only their own hardware driven by Linux based devices.

So I hear at CeBit, that they are bring out TT8, and once again, PNA/PPC/PDA will be supported once again. Yet, at the moment, there is no news of the this format released... what gives??

Grrrr TomTom....

There is actually TT7 for PDAs. There have been some betatesting limited to just few people in some countries, however because of this very limited number of people involved and software built in ROM of certain PDAs, nobody dared to release as a torrent/warez etc. There is such a possibility that they will release TT7 for PDAs in near future and will keep it one number behind PNA versions.
