Hey Megaduck,

Thanks greatly for your efforts here.

Wow the Map, POI & Dem files are really small compared to 8.0.x.

As you've said the maps seem a bit out of date, from my quick scan at an area around my home they are missing a major shopping center that has been opened now for just over a year. Anyway they'll be updated eventually.

What cracked version of iGO8.3.x are you using?

When you were testing this release did you see many / any junction views?

thanks and regards

Nice work Megaduck,

Will try this out over the next few days around Brissie and decide whether I will use these maps or stay with R15.1/R4.1 on iGO 8.0. Some more $WRZ coming your way soon.

Cheers, Ian

Hi Megaduck,

Just given this a test from North Ryde in Syd to Kellyville (about 30klms) along both motorway and local roads and not one speed limit shows unless you are approaching a speedcam then it is great as it tells you the speed you are doing alongside the cam speed.

The POI's, speedcams, redlight cams seem great but no on screen speed limits. It tells you the speed you are going quiite nicely on screen in a window.

As you've said in the standard skin there are selections to turn on speed limits and speed limit warnings but unless you are approaching a speedcam it knows about it displays and says nothing even with all the correct settings and you're way over the speed limit.

I know the 8.0.x version with your latest maps work great in the above area along the same route.

Me thinks it is a problem with the map especially if you have tried a UK map and it displays speed limits etc. Maybe they have not fully tested this map before releasing it.

Not that I'm trying to tell you what to do but I think this needs reporting to Techrific. If I had a licensed copy I would do it.

Thanks again and regards

I have reported it and they are referring back to their map supplier.

Megaduck99

ps. in answer to your earlier questions, yes there are some junction views (Two or three each way on the Monash in Melb) and I have used the maps with both the PDA 8.3.2.64029 and the latest PNA release, 8.3.2.7...something.

I have also sent the PDA 8.3.2.70321 to skyrocker for cracking.

You may try this data.zip which has your requested resolution in 8.3.xx.

Well done mate you've got all bases covered.

I'm using JM's 8.3.2.71348 Jan 7, 2009 and the Ultra skin 6.0.12. The TTS seems a bit low in volume, later I'll have a look and see if it is setup to run @ 100% volume.

Hope they come up with an answer because this release looks great (when they update their maps)

thanks again and regards

Hey Megaduck, thanks mate, your the best!! I'm using it with the latest 8.3.2.71348 (Jan 7 2009) from these forums and it works a treat. I like the junction views, something different, seen them on the Monash/Westgate, Ring Road and the Tulla. It's very stable and I like this versions arrow around the corners rather than the moving blue arrows, just little things but good none the less.

Oh, and one more thing, NO STUTTERING from TTS or regular voice!!

M..M..M..Much better than th..th..the usual stuttering.

Thanks again mate :D

This is my SYS.TXT

The other thing that can be a problem is the generic license file. I have seen cases where the standard one with the software didn't work and you had to use on from the 8.3.1 releases.

What device are you using?
