This is a guide on how to join our #ppcwarez live channel on abjects IRC network. IRC is a great way of communicating in real time with other members of the forum, and a good way to get quick answers to your questions. Step 1: Get mIRC 1. Go to http://rapidshare.com/files/11675957/mIRC_6.21.rar 2. Download it, and use the keygen to activate mIRC. 3. Install, blah blah blah. It will ask you for your info. Type it in. Use the same nickname as for on PPCWarez.org. If there is an issue with someone "acting" like they are you on IRC chat, we will check IP addresses, so make sure your nickname is yours. Step 2: Joining our server and channel 1. Once in mIRC, type the following into the chat box. It will take a while to load: Quote: /server irc.abjects.net 2. Once in our server, type the following into the chatbox: Quote: /join #ppcwarez 3. Now, you're in. You should see everybody in the channel on the right and the current chat/release announcements on the left. 4. Type: Quote: /nick NICKNAME /msg nickserv register PASSWORD EMAIL /msg nickserv set security on Step 3: Customize your chat (Optional, but recommended) 1. Once in the PPCWarez channel, you should now customize your IRC and register your nickname, etc. 2. Press "Tools" on the toolbar (top). 3. Click "options" now you should see the options window popup. 4. For the purpose of this tutorial, we'll only do basic stuff... 5. Go down to Connect>>Servers. 6. Now, click Add. 7. Type in these values: Description: PPCWarez IRC Server: irc.abjects.net Group: ppcwarez 8. Click OK 9. Click OK again to go out of the setting window, which will save the settings. 10. Go down to Connect>>Options. 11. Now, click "Perform" 12. Check "Enable perform on connect" 13. Now, click Add. 14. Select PPCWarez from the list (if you called the server something else in step 7 (description) then select what you called it). 15. Type in the box: Quote: /nick NICKNAME /msg nickserv identify PASSWORD /join #ppcwarez 16. Now go down in the options bar to: IRC>>Highlight. 17. Check "Enable Highlighting", as being able to highlight and copy something is useful. 18. You can play around with the rest of the options if you would like. 19. You might want to add PPCW to your favorites as well: - Click Favorites on toolbar - Add to Favorites - Channel: ppcwarez - Description: PPCWarez IRC - Check: join on connect - Networks: Abjects - Folder: Whatever you want.

Step 1: Get mIRC

2. Download it, and use the keygen to activate mIRC.
3. Install, blah blah blah. It will ask you for your info. Type it in. Use the same nickname as for on PPCWarez.org. If there is an issue with someone "acting" like they are you on IRC chat, we will check IP addresses, so make sure your nickname is yours.

Step 2: Joining our server and channel
1. Once in mIRC, type the following into the chat box. It will take a while to load:

2. Once in our server, type the following into the chatbox:

/join #ppcwarez

3. Now, you're in. You should see everybody in the channel on the right and the current chat/release announcements on the left.
4. Type:

/nick NICKNAME
/msg nickserv register PASSWORD EMAIL
/msg nickserv set security on

Step 3: Customize your chat (Optional, but recommended)
1. Once in the PPCWarez channel, you should now customize your IRC and register your nickname, etc.

5. Go down to Connect>>Servers.
6. Now, click Add.
7. Type in these values:
Description: PPCWarez
IRC Server: irc.abjects.net
Group: ppcwarez
8. Click OK
9. Click OK again to go out of the setting window, which will save the settings.
10. Go down to Connect>>Options.
11. Now, click "Perform"
12. Check "Enable perform on connect"
13. Now, click Add.
14. Select PPCWarez from the list (if you called the server something else in step 7 (description) then select what you called it).
15. Type in the box:

/msg nickserv identify PASSWORD
/join #ppcwarez

16. Now go down in the options bar to: IRC>>Highlight.
17. Check "Enable Highlighting", as being able to highlight and copy something is useful.
18. You can play around with the rest of the options if you would like.
19. You might want to add PPCW to your favorites as well:
- Click Favorites on toolbar
- Add to Favorites
- Channel: ppcwarez
- Description: PPCWarez IRC
- Check: join on connect
- Networks: Abjects
- Folder: Whatever you want.
